G-196 AN ORDINANCE PROVIAING FOR THE VACATING AND ABANDONING OF A PORTION OF THE PLA:' OF ALTADEPiA SUBDIVISION AND ' PROVIDING FOR THE VACATING AND ABANDONING OF A PORTIOtJ OF AVENUE I AND AVENUE J; REPEALIIZG ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDI?`JANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AHD PROVIDING FOR THE } EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Fort Pierce has been requested to vacate and abandon a part of the Plat of Altadena Subdivision, as recorded in Plat Book 4, Page 71 of the Public Records of St. Lucie County, Florida, and to vacate and abandon that part of the rights-of-way within that area; and WHEREAS, the Fort Pierce Cemetery Association is owner.of subject property, which is needed for future expansion; and 4JHEREA~, the Gity Planning Board at a regular meeting ne3d November 19, 1974 approved the vacation of part of said plat and rights-of-way; and WHEREAS, in consideration of the above, it is in the best interest of the general welfare of the City of Fort Pierce to vacate and abandon certain property as requested by the Fort Pierce Cemetery~-Association. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA: Section 1. From and after the effective date hereof, The West ~ of Lot 37, all of Lots 38 through 53, and all of Lots 60 through 77, of the Plat of Altadena Subdivision, as recorded in _ ' Plat Book 4, Page 71 of the Public Records of St. Lucie County, ' ~ Florida, shall be and the same are hereby vacated and abandoned. ~ Section 2. From and after the effective date hereof, all y that portion of Avenue I lying between the south line of Lots 60 E through 68 and the north line of Lots 69 through 77, with the f City of Fort Pierce hereby saving and reserving unto itself a a utility easement along the South 25 feet, and all that portion of ~ Avenue J lying between the south line of the West of Lot 37, and ~ all of Lots 38 through 44 and the north line of Lote 46 through ~ the West of Lot 53, with the City of Fort Pierce hereby saving a and reserving into itself a utility easement along the North 20 _ ' feet, of the Plat of Altadena Subdivision, shall be and the same ~ are he~eby vacated and abandoned. ~ ~ Section 3.
