AN ORDINANCE SETTING FORTH PENALTIES FOR VIOLATIONS
'.;~OF CITY CHARTER OR ORDINANCES~ AND PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVS DATE.

BE IT ORDA?NED BY TI~E CITY GOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PORT ST. LUCI~,

` Section 1. Whenever in ~he City CharCer or in any City `

Ordinances of the City.any act is prohibited, or-is'made, or.
declared to be unlawful, or an offense; or whenever in such
Charter or Ordinances the doing o£ any act is required, or the
, ~ ~
failure to do any act is declared to be unlawful, where no specific `
. ;

penalty is provided therefor, the violation of any such provisfon ~
~of the Charter, or City Ordinances, shall be gunished by a fine ~
not exceeding Five Hundred ($500.00) Dollars or imprisanment +
for a term not exceeding sixty (60) days, or by both such fine
and imprisonment. Each day any such violatian shall continue
shall constitute a separate offense,

Section 2. In addition to the penalt4ies provided for -
in this Ordinance, anq condition caused or permitted to exist in
~ -
violation of any of the provisions to the Char er, or any Ordinances, ~
shail be deemed a public nuisance and may be, y the City, abated
;
as~provided by law, and each day that such condition continues ,
i shall be regarded as a new and separate offense.

E Section 3. This Ordinance shall become effective im~

mediately upon its adoption. ~
