ORDER OF CONTEMPT
The trial of the above styled case was to be resumed this
morning at 8:45 A.M.; the Jurors, Parties, Attorneys, the Clerk
and the bailiff were all present; hawever the trial could not
continue because of the absence of the Court reporter, Roger Watford.
Mr. Watford did not appear until 9:20 A.M., being called before the
Court, he could give no valid reason whp he should not be held in
contempt of Court. The Court, having determined that Roger Watford
was in contempt of Court by his failure to appear and that his
failure resulted in a disrupt~.4n of the Court's Droceedings, naw _
therefore, the said Roger Watford be and he is hereby found to be
~ in contempt of Court and he is sentenced to pay a fine~of $75.00
~
~ dollars or serve seven days in the St. Lucie County Jail. The fine,
~
~ imposed by this Court, shall be paid tv the Sheriff by 5:00 P.M.
~ -
~ September 5, 1975. If the fine is not paid as herein ordered, the
~
Sheriff of St. Lucie County is hereby authorized and directed to
arrest and incarcerate the said Roger Watford in the County Jail for
~ seven days.
