RECEIVER FOR PURPOSES OF CONSERVATION

THIS CAUSE, coming on this day to be heard on the Application
~f the Department of Insurance of the State of Floiida for the entry of
an Order appointing the Department of Insurance as Ancillary Receiver
.
of Imperial Insurance Company of Los Ang~les, California and the Order to `
Show Cause, and the Court being fully advised in the premises, finds: •
1. Section 631.Q71, Florida Statutes, authorized the Depart-
. .
ment of Insurance of the State of Florida to apply to the Court for
appointment as Ancillary Receiver of a foreign insurer for purposes of
conservation if any of the grounds for conservation set forth in Sectioa
b3I.071,'Florida Statutes, exist. - •
2. On September 23, 1975, the Honorable Harry L. Huff, one
of the Judges of the Superior Court of Los Angeles, California, entered
.
an Order Appointing Conservator and Restraining Order in the case of ~
the Insurance Commissioner of the State of California v Im~erial
Insurance Company (No. C 136921). That Order directs the Insurance
Commissio~er of the State of California, to take possession o£ all of
the property and affairs of Imperial Insurance Company and to conduct
the business of the company. By the appointment o~ a Conservator in
its state of domicile, the property of~Imperial Insurance Company has
been sequestered in its state of domicile.
