RELEASE OF RESERVATIONS NO. 9979 `3`~U2~~~3 _
BY CENTRAL AND SOUTHERN FLORIDA FLOOD CdNTROL DISTRICT
ON LANDS DEEDED BY ~
TRUSTEES OF THE INTERNAL IMPROVEMENT FUND
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 14717, Laws of F7orida, Acts of 1931, and Chapter
2Q658, Laws of Florida, Acts of 1941, the Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund of the State of Florida were .
relieved of all official duties in connection with lands within th~ Everglades Drainaqe District, and a new Board of
Commissioners of said District was provided to administer the affairs of said District, and to assume all the powers
heretofore exercised hy the said Trustees in the conduct of the affairs of said District, and

WHEREAS, Central and Southern Florida Flood Control District was created under and by virtue of ~
Chapter 25270, Laws of Florida, Acts of 1949, and operates and is governed according to the provisions of Chapter -
373, Florida Statutes, and . F

iNHEREAS, pursuant to and in compliance with Chapter 25420, Lavvs of Florida, Acts of 1949, the
Board of Commissioners of Everglades Drainage District has effected the vansfer af all reservations held by said
Board and District to the Central and ~outhern Florida Flood Control District.
NOW, THEREFORE, KNOW'AI,L MEN BY THESE PRESENTS, that the CENTRAL ~D SOUTH-
ERN FLORIDA FLOOD CONi'ROL DISTRICT, a public corporation, in compliance with and by virtue of the
authority in it vested under the Laws of the State of Florida, and for and in consideration of the sum of
TEN DOLLARS 10 .00), and other val~able cansiderations paid by
MICHAEL S. McCARTY and LYNN S. McCARTY, his wife, 302 South 2nd Street, P. 0.
Box 4412, Fort Pierce, Florida. ~
does hereby releasz and discharge the followinq described land situate in S t. Luc ie County,

From the Northeast corner of Section 21, Township 37 South, Range
38 East, St. Lucie County, Florida, run South 89°55' West along
the North line of said Section 21, 790.37 feet to the Northwes- ~
terly Right of Way line for Glades Cut-Off Road and the Point of
Beginning; thence run South 44°43'30" West along said Right of
Way line 930.27 feet; thence run North 45°16'30" West 936.51
feet to the North line of said Section 21; thence run North
89°55' East 1320.02 feet to the Point of Beginning. Containing
10.00 acres.

~ Savinq and reservinq unto the said, the Trustees of the Internal Improvement Fund of the State of
~ Florida, and their successors, the right at any time to enter upon the said lands and make or cause to
z be made and constructed thereon such canals, sluice-ways, dikes and other works as may in the judq- ~
~ ment of the said Trustees, or their successors, be necessary and needful for the drainage or reclamadon !
~ of any of the lands granted to the State of Florida, by an Act of Conqress, approved Septem}~er 28,
1850, and to taka from the said lands hereby conveyed and to use such gravel, stone or ear*_h as may,

And further saving and reservinq unto the said, the 'h~ustees of the Internal Improvement Fund of
the State of Florida, the right to the exclusive passession, occupation, use and enjoyment of a strip
_ of land running across the above described premises~ one hundred and thirty feet on each side of
= the center line of any canal, cut, sluice-way or dike that may be made and constructed on said land :
a by the said Trustees of the said Internal Improvement Fund of the State of Florida, or their succes- -
sors, for the'purpose aforesaid, and the ex~lusive right:to:take, use, sell, dispose of and enjoy any
