~ It sppearing th~t Section ZO(d)(4)~ Article Y of Lhe Constitutio~ of the
State of Florida provides that "ail +nunicipal courts not previously abolishea shail
cease to exist" as of January 3. 1977. at vhich tia~e all ~urisdiciion of the Municlpal
Court shall be absorbed by the County Court in and for the County in which ~uch
~unicipal courts are respectively located, and

Flor~da, wi11 not be abolished prior to January 3. 1977. and
In arder to effect an orderly transition of the courts and related procedu~al
iaatters betNeen oth~r agencies involved in the abolishwent of the Fort Pierce l~niclpsl
Court. it is neeess~ry to pra~ulgate ce~iain orders of a transitional nature and the
purpose of this o?~der is to assure that all agencies involved, imcluding but tat
liwited to the County Court, Sheriff~ State Attorney, Public Oefer~der, Clerk of the
Circuit and County Courts of St. Lucie Cau::ty anQ the Municipal Court. City of Fort
Pierce Prosecuto~, Cit,~ of fo~t ~ierce Law Enforceaient Officers, and Clerk of Municipal
Court have effected necessary coordination to tenninate, ad~ust or assuwe re~ponsibilities
withtn their respective areas, as applicable, in the transition of the court involved.
