LUCIE AN CALOOSAHATCHEE ESTUARIES AND LAK WORTH LAGOON ADOPTED AUGUST 1 2001 WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie C, the following determinations: 1. The Six County Coalition was formed in order to expedite local to protect and improve the natural values and essential public uses of Lak~ Lucie and Caloosahatchee Estuaries and Lake Worth Lagoon. 2. On August 13, 2001, the Six County Coalition for responsilc Okeechobee and the St. Lucie and Caloosahatchee Estuaries and Lake resolution calling upon the Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) to expedite ~ Indian River Lagoon Restoration Feasibility Study Plan (IRL Plan) and inclusion in Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) 2002. 3. The resolution of the Six County Coalition further requested Florida Water Management District simultaneously proceed with ~ Restoration Feasibility Study Plan refinements as part of the Comprehensiv Plan (CERP) Adaptive Management Process, as required by Congress, ant total ecosystem-wide benefits be obtained from each CERP Plan Elemen 4.
