A RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING SUNDA'
AUGUST 5, 2001, AS "NATIONAL KIDS DA]
IN ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie C,
the following determinations:
1. The children are the foundation on which our future success 1~
mentors and friends to aid them in reaching important goals.
2. Families and communities play vital roles in helping childre~
image, sense of belonging and a sense of competence.
3. National Kids Day is a special day set aside each year (the fi~
encourage and remind adults that the meaningful time they share with chil
development.
4. The National Kids Day Alliance, comprising Boys & Girls Clul
Peace and YMCA, together reach more than 20 million youth via their
involvement nationwide; and is working to establish National Kids Day
5. National Kids Day emphasizes the importance of meaningful ti:

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Corn
