I authorize my Executrix to purchase and acquire stocks, bonds
and other property and to keep my estate invested as she shall
deem proper; to borrow money frnm any person, fiYm or corporation
(including itself, if a corporate executor is acting as executor),
for the purpose of protecting and preserving my estate, and to
execute promissory notes or other obligations for the amounts so
borrowed and to secure the payment of such amounts by pledge of any ~

property in my estate upon such terms and conditions as she may `

determine. I further suthorize my Executrix to execute and deliver `

agreements, contracts, deeds, bills of sale, and any other instru-
, ~
ments that she may deem necessary or proper and to do all other "
acts which in her sole opinion may be necessary or appropriate for ~
the proper and advantageous management, investment and distribution
of the property included in my estate. No person, firni or corporation ~
dealing with my Executrix shall be obliged to inquire into the
propriety of her acts or be bound to see to the application of
any money or property paid or delivered to her as Execut~ix.
The powers hereinabove given my Executrix may be exercised
by her in her uncontrolled discretion, as she shall deem best, and ~
without being bound by any law or statute dealing with the invest-
ment of trust funds and without the necessity of applying to any
court for any order or direction. AlI powers granted to my
Executrix here in this item shall be granted to any Alternate
Executor if it is serving as Executor.
SIXTH: I authorize my Executrix to file a joint Federal
income tax return of the income of my wife and myself for any _
period or periods for which such a return may be permitted, and I ~
request my Executrix to do so if the same appears to bring about
less taxes than the aggregate amount payable on separate returns.
