This cause having come on to be heard before,me upon ~the
verified Petition for Adoption filed in this cause and this Court
finding rhat the natural mother of the minor child to be adopted
has consented to her adoption, and that the name and address of
the natural father are unknown to all parties~ and thereby the lack
of his consent is.excused, and that the minor is less than twelve
(12) years of age, and it appearing to the Court that the
Petitioners are fit and proper persons to adopt,the minor child
sought to be adopted and that the best interest of the child will
be promoted by the adoption, and that the child is suitable for
adoption by Petitioners, EDMUND FLETCHER SMITH and ANN MARIE SMITH,
his wife, and being otherwise fully advised in the premises, it
is, upon consideration~
ORDERED AND ADJUDGED: ~ _
1. That the minor child known as TAMMY MICHELE JOHNSON, is
declared to be the legal of the child of the Petitioners, EDMUND.
FLETCHER SMITH and ANN MARIE SMITH, his wife, and is giveri the
name TAMMY MICHELE SMZTH, by which name she shall hereinafter _
be known;

2. That the minor child shall be the child and Iegal heir ~
of Petitioners, EDMIND FLETCHER SMITH and ANN MARIE SMITH, his wife,
entitled to all rights and privileges, and sub~ect to_all obligations
