APPROVAL PROCEDURE Step 1: Submission of Mining Plan and Application~ Two copies of mining plan, legibly drawn to scale shall be filed With the County Engineer by th~e owner of the land involved. Said plan shall delineate procedure to assure that upon completion of excavation but not to exceed 48 months, the land surface shall be left in a suitable condition as determined by the Board of County Commissioners. ~aid glan shall show: . A. Lega2 description and pertinent dimensions. B. Proposed side slopes, limited to a maximum of 1 inch horizonal and 1.5 inch vertical and also limited so as to prevent slope material from sliding, thereby endanqering adjacent property. C. Areas to be developed as lakes, etc. . D. Type of seeding, ground cover, or vegatative screen proposed in order to approximate conditions existing ' prior to mining. - ~ E. Safeg~ards to prevent loose sand from blowing onto . adjacent property. F. Procedure to be used to identify boundary lines on site. G. (Amended 4/16/75) Location, extent, and machinery/ equipment to be used in any screening, crushinq or _ pracessing operation for materials mined or excavated - on the premises. ~ H. Section of plan showing excavntion area shall be ~ drawn to a minimum scale of 1^ equals 20', overall . mininq area shall be drawn to a minimum scale of 1" . ~ equals 100'. No mining excavation below adjacent road grade shall be permitted within 150 feet of the riqht of way line of any public road or street or within a dimension from adjoining proerty as determined by the Board of County Commissioners. Said dimension shall be a minimum of 15 feet except where adjoining property is beinq used, or has been used, for mining, or is owned by the person making application. If the County Er.qineer determines that the plans meet technical requirements for filinq, he shall so note on the plans -and return one copy to applicant and retain the other cogy.
