The Board of County Commissioners shall hold a public
after due.public notice and shall approve, modify, or
deny the application for aining. ~
A. In addition to considerinq reclamation plan and other
requirements and conditions of Sectfon 15-A necessary
for permit, the Board Will consider establishing a
time period for beginning and co~pletion of reclamation
and ample security to cover reclamation.
B. Followinq approval, the applicant should be advised
~ he must file security with the County Attorney.
C. After obtaining approval of security by the County .
Attorney, applicant pays mining permit fee and
receives mininq permit from Buildinq and Zoning.
D. Mining permits may be revoked by the Board of County
Commissioners for failure to adhere to these regulations.
E. Owners of all existing mines shall, within six months
of the adoption of these requlations, file a mining
~ plan and post a completion bond, both acceptable to
the Board of County Commissioners, whereupon a mininq
~ permit shall be issued.
F. The above requirements will not apply where excavations
. are made solely for drainage purposes or other similar .
improvements and where~material from said excavations
is not sold as a commercial business. where excavations
are made on publicly owned property or easements,
the Board of County Commissioners may authorize an ~
exception from these requirments.
