7. Venue of this proceeding is in this county because
the incompetent is a resident of Fort Pierce, St. Lucie County,
-Florida and has been such a resident since her Mirth.
8. Samuel D.- Steele and Linda G. Steele, husband and
wife, residents of Fort Pierce, St. Lucie County, Florida are sui
juris and otherwise qualified under the laws of Florida to act as
guardian of the person and property of the incompetent, and are
entitled to preference because Linda G. Steele is the natural mother
of the incompetent (minor) and Samuel D. Steele, husband of Linda
j G. Steele, is the stepfather of the incompetent (minor); that
Samuel D. Steele and Linda G. Steele were married December 31, 1977

i and have lived together continuously as husband and wife since said
~ date.

9. Reasonable search has been made, and any of the
s information required by Florida law and by the applicable Florida
- Rules of Probate and Guardianship Procedure that is not set forth
in full above cannot be ascertained without delay that would

e adversely affect the incompetent or the incompetent's property.
WHEREFORE, Petitioners request that Samuel D. Steele and

Linda G. Steele, husband and wife, be appointed as guardians-of the
person and property of the incompetent.
