This cause coming on to be heard on the 3rd day of April,
1979, upon the verified Petition for Adoption filed in this cause
by the Petitioners, HIRAM JIMMY CARTER and PATRICIA DIANE CARTER,
husband and wife, and the Court has determined that the Petitioners
f
are fit and proper persons to adopt the minor child, namely,
CHRISTOPHER LEE CARTER, and that the best interests of the child
will be promoted by the adoption, and that the child is suitable
for adoption by the Petitioners, it is thereupon
ORDERED AND ADJUDGED that the minor child, CHRISTOPHER LEE

CARTER, is declared to be the legal child of the Petitioners, and
is hereby given the name of CHRISTOPHER LEE CARTER, by which he
shall hereafter be known; that said child, upon entry hereof, is

and shall hereafter be the legal heir of the Petitioners, HIRAF+!
JIMMY CARTER and PATRICIA DIANE CARTER, and entitled to all rights
f
~ and privileges and subject to obligations the same as though he
were a natural born child of the Petitioners.
