such legatee or devisee shall be divested and my Will shall
be applied and interpreted as if such legatee or devisee
had predeceased me.
ARTICLE VIII
Unless the context indicates a different meaning
is intended and wherever appropriate in this Will, the sing-
ular number shall include the plural number,-the plural num-
ber the singular number; the use of any gender shall be
applicable to all genders; the word "child" or "children"
shall mean descendants of the remotest degree, and the use
of the words "child", children: and "issue" shall include
any adopted child, children or issue; the use of the word
"minor" shall mean a person under the age of twenty-one
(21) years, and the use of the word "child" shall not have
the same or limited meaning as that of "minor", but where
appropriate shall apply to a person of any age.
