AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE TERRITORIAL LIMITS OF-THE CITY
OF FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA, TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING PARCEL:
COMMBNCING AT THE NW COR. OF LOT 1, BLK "C" OF CORTEZ
ESTATES, UNIT ~1, AS PER PLAT THEREOF ON FILB IN PLAT BOOK
11, PAGE 18, PUBLIC RECORDS OF ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA;
TH RUN NLY ALONG AN EXTENSION OF THB WLY LOT LINE OF SAID
LOT 1, 110' TO A POINT; THENCE RUN ELY ALONG A LINE PARAL-
LEL TO THE REAR LOT LINE OF SAID LOT 1, 90' TO A POINT;
THENCE R SLY ALONG AN EXTENSION OF THE ELY LOT LINE OF
SAID LOTil~, 110' TO THE NE COR. OF SAID LOT 1, THENCE RUN
WLY ALONG THE REAR LOT LINE OF SAID LOT 1, 90' TO THE P.O.B.;
DIRECTING THE ST. LUCIE COUNTY TAX APPRAISER TO ASSESS SAID
PROPERTY AND PLACE IT ON THE CITY TAX ROLLS FOR THE YEAR
1980 AND SUBSEQUENT YEARS; DIRECTING THE ST. LUCIE COUNTY
TAX COLLECTOR TO COLLECT TAXES ON THE ABOVE DBSCRIBED PRO-
. PERTY FOR THE YEAR 1980 AND SUBSEQUENT YEARS; DIRECTING
PUBLICATION AND POSTING OF THIS ORDINANCE ;ZONING SAID
LANDS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES OR PARTS OF ORDINANCES IN
CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE
HEREOF.
-BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF FORT PIERCE,
FLORIDA:
SECTION I. The territ ial Limits of the City of Fort Pierce,
Florida, be and they are reby extended to annex to said City the
following described lands, to-wit:
Commencing at the NW~corner of Lot 1, Block "C" of Cortez
Estates, Unit No. 1, as per plat thereof on file in Plat
Book 11, Page 18, of the public records of St. Lucie County,
Florida; thence run Northerly along an extension of the
Westerly lot line of said Lot 1, 110 feet to a point; thence -
run Easterly along a line parallel to the rear lot line of
said Lot 1, 90' to a point; thence run Southerly along an
extension of the Easterly lot line of said Lot 1,.110' to
the NE corner of said Lot 1, th run WLY along the rear lot
_ line of said Lot 1, 90' to P.O.B. ~ X00/

SECTION II. That the Tax Appraiser of St. Lucie County and -
the Tax Collector of St. i,ucie County are directed to place upon
and add to the assessment roll and to collect the taxes on the
land described in Section I hereof for the year 1980 and subse-

quent years, and to enter the same at such valuation that it will

~ bear an equal and just proportion of taxes for the year 1980 and
subsequent years thereto. -
SECTION III. That the City Clerk shall cause this Ordinance
to be published once a week for four consective weeks in the News
Tribune in Fort Pierce, Florida, and to post three copies of this
Ordinance in a conspicuous place in the City Hall in the City of

Fort Pierce, and three copies in a conspicuous place on the tract
of land hereinbefore described said posting to be for four con-

secutive weeks.

SECTION IV. That upon this Ordinance becoming effective the
lands hereinabove described and annexed to the territorial limits
