AN ORDINANCE ANNEXING CERTAIN PROPERTY DESCRIBED BELOW
INTO THE CITY OF PORT ST. LUCIE, FLORIDA; PROVIDING FOR
AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
THE CITY OF PORT ST. LUCIE, FLORIDA HEREBY ORDAINS:
Section 1. That the City Council of the City of Port St.
Lucie, Florida, hereby accepts the voluntary petition for annexa-
tion dated FebnaaY}r 19, 1979, submitted by JOHN E. MINOR, who is _
the fee simple owner. Based on said petition, and the fact that
t:ie land hereinafter described is contiguous, and within three
miles of the present City of Port St. Lucie, and the petitioner
being the sole owner of such land, and said land being reasonably
compact, the following land, located in the unincorporated area
of St. Lucie County, Florida, is hereby annexed to and incorporated
within the municipal limits of the City of Port St. Lucie, Florida:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of the North ~ of
Government Lot 9, Section 15, Township 37 South,
Range 40 East; thence run North 834.84 feet on the
East line of said Government Lot 9 to a point; thence
run West 626.13 feet to a point; thence run South
834.84 feet, more or less, to the waters edge of the
North Fork of the St. Lucie River, commonly called
Tarpon Bay; thence meander the shore of the waters
edge Easterly to the point of beginning, containing
12 acres, more or less; TOGETHER with all riparian
rights thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining.
LESS and excepting therefrom Parcel I, exhibit A of
Deed in O.R. Book 176, Page 2247, St. Lucie County, -
Florida,
and the same is and shall hereafter be considered as a part of the
City of Port St. Lucie, Florida.

~ Section 2. Pursuant to Florida Statute 171.044(2), this

Ordinance shall be passed after same has been published once a
week for four consecutive weeks in a newspaper of general circu-
lation within the County. This Ordinance, upon its adoption -
shall be filed with the Clerk of the Circuit Court of St. Lucie
County, Florida and with the Department of State.
Section 3. The municipal boundary lines, having been altered
through annexation, shall be revised and shall be filed as a re-
~ vision of the City Charter with the Department of State within
thirty (30) days of the adoption of this Ordinance.
