ORDER ASSESSING EXPENSES PURSUANT TO SECTION 768.44(1)
THIS medical liability mediation claim was filed in this
Court on or about May 15, 1978. The panel convened on November 13,
1978, received evidence and testimony and reconvened on November 14,
1978, for the same purposes wherein it rendered its decision on
that date.
The non-judicial members of the panel were: G. RENDALL
-
SHARP, Attorney, and E. O. JACKSON, M.D. The Florida Statute

in question provides:

f "Each of 'the non-judicial panelists shall be paid $100.00 E
~ per day for expenses for each day or portion of a day spent {
upon the hearing panel. The court shall assess both parties ~
equally for the payment of such expenses to the panelists."
I This statute became effective July 1, 1977, and was to apply

to all actions filed thereafter.
-Based upon the above statute and matters of record,
~ Claimants, ELIZABETH~GARWOOD and LESTER GARWOOD, JR., are assessed

K $133.33, and the Defendant, F. N. ARRIOLA, JR., M.D., is assessed

$133.34, and the Defendant, FT. PIERCE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, is

assessed $133.33. These amounts shall be deposited with the Clerk
of this Court within fifteen (15) days from the date of this order
