7. Venue of this proceeding is in this county because
MICHAEL ALAN NOONAN_, a resident of the State of Florida, is
in custody of Adoption and Related Services, State of Florida,
Department of Health and Rehabilatative Services, located in
St. Lucie County, Florida.
8. JOHN H. SUTHERLAND, a resident of the State of Florida,
is sui juris and otherwise qualified under the laws of Florida
to act as guardian of the property of the minor and is entitled
to preference because:
A. Said minor has been placed for adoption with, and
permanently com®nitted to, the State of Florida, Department of
Health and Rehabilitative Services, and therefore has no next
of kin who is qualified to act as guardian-of the property.
B. No person has been designated as guardian in any
will in which the minor is a beneficiary.
9. Reasonable search has been made, and any of the infor-
mation required by Florida law and by the applicable Florida
Rules of Probate and Guardianship Procedure that is not set
forth in full above cannot be ascertained without delay that
would adversely affect the minor or the minor's property.
WHEREFORE, Petitioner requests that JOHN H. SUTHERLAND be
~ appointed as guardian of the property.of the minor.
