RESOLUTION NO. 10-191
A RESOLUTION AMENDING FARE
SCHEDULE FOR PUBLIC TRANSIT SERVICES
IN ST. LUCIE COUNTY; PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, has
made the following determinations:
1. In 1991, the Board first entered into an agreement with the Community
Transit Division of Council on Aging of St. Lucie, Inc., to provide public transit services for
the residents of St. Lucie County.
2. The public transit system has since been expanded to provide both demand
response and fixed routes services.
3. The fares for public transit services have not been adjusted since the
creation of the public transit system in 1991.
4. The Board has determined that it is necessary to amend the existing fare
schedule for public transit riders in order to meet the increased costs of providing these
services.
5. On June 24, 2010, Community Transit conducted public hearings in Fort
Pierce and Port St. Lucie to present the proposed fare revisions to the public.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
St. Lucie County, Florida:

1. The Fare Schedule for public transit services in St. Lucie County is hereby
amended as follows:
Regular Fare
Discounted Fnre
Monthly Pass
AAA 2.00
8 1.00

2. This resolution shall take effect upon adoption.
After motion and second the vote on this resolution was as follows:
