. ARCHITECT~QAL COMMITTEE
A. No building,-structure or improve~aent of any k1nd, in-
cluding but not limited to, any building, fence, wall, swimming
pool, tennis court, screen enclosure, sewer, drain disposal system,
landscape device or object, or other improvement shall be comwenced,
erected, p1-aced or_maintained ~n any Parcei, nor shall be any
addition, change or alteration therein-or thereon be made, unless.
and until the plans-and specifications showing the nature, kind,
shape, height, materials and location of the same sha-11 have been-
submitted to, and approved in writing by the Association. Ali
plans_and specifications shall be evaluated as ~to.harmony of -
external design and location in relation.-to surrounding struc-.
tures and topography and Architectural and Related Rules and
Regulations-se t. forth in ARTICLE YII or amendments thereto.
B. Architectural Committee. :The architectural fund;oos
- of the Association shall be administered and performed by an - -
Architectural Committee, which shall consist of.four- (4) members, _
who need not be members of the Association. The Developer shall
have the right to appoint all of the members of the Committee, or
such lesser number as it may choose, as long as it owns-at least
one Parcel or one Dwelling Unit .or for a period~of five (5) years
from the date~of recording of -this Declaration of Covenants and -
R~estrictions, whichever event first occurs. -Those members of the
Committee whom Developer may relinquish the right to appoint, an d
aii members of the Committee after the Developer no longer has. the
right to appoint all of the members of the committee shall be _
appointed by, and shat] be sub3ect to removal by the Board of
Directors of the Association.. Ri: any time that- *he Board of Uir-
ectors has .the right to appoint one or'more members-of the Commit-
tee, the Boa~•d shall appoint at least one (.1) architect or building
contractor thereto. A ma3ority of the Committee shall constitute
a quorum to transact business at. any meeting of .the Committee.
Any vacancy occurring on the Coa~mittee because of death, resigns-

tion or other termination of service of any member-thereof, shall
