Prior to 1954, the s parcel was described as W 34 Ac. of Lot 2 - Savannah." ` Government Lot 2 as shown on the government plat book of i Township 37 South, Range 41 East, would seem to indicate that it is basically a tract containing approximately forty (40) acres. The deeds conveying this parcel describe the parcel as containing fifty nine (59) acres, including a tax deed issued in November, 1924, which redeemed unpaid taxes for the year of 190b. It would appear that in order to encompass a tract containing fifty nine acres, not only would you have to consider tke nut?lber of acres of Savannah within Govertunent Lot 2, but you would also have to consider the acres of Savannah north of Government Lot 2 lying within Grant's permit. This office, in the past, has appar- ently taken this position in order to comply with the specific number of acres mentioned in the instruments of conveyance.
