COUNTY OF ST. LUCIE
Re: Oil, Gas and Mineral Lease from Adams Ranch, Inc. ,
et al, to Pat O'Keefe Humphreys as Lessee, dated
November 10, 1971 and recorded in O. R. Book 197
at page 2626, St. Lucie County, Florida records.
BEFORE ME, the undersigned authority, personally appeared "
ALTO ADAMS, JR., who, upon first being duly sworn, did depose and
say that he was President of Adams Ranch, Inc., a Florida corpora-
tion, on November 10, 1971 and at all times thereafter, and Affiant
makes this affidavit for and on behalf of said corporation, and for
himself and all other parties named as Lessors by subject Oil, Gas
and Mineral Lease.
Affiant further says that irrespective of the recitals as to

consideration appearing in the said Lease, the Lessors, including
Adams Ranch, Inc., never received the first dollar of consideration
as rent paid under said Lease and further that no operations for
drilling were ever conducted upon the land (or any part thereof)
by the Lessee or by anyone on behalf of said Lessee. Accordingly, ~
the Lessors never recognized the said Oil, Gas and Mineral Lease as

being binding upon them and for that reason the same Lessors, one

year later, entered into an Oil, Gas and Mineral Lease with Shell
i
Oil Company, which subsequent Lease was dated November 11, 1972
~ and recorded in O. R. Book 210 at page 714. This later Lease con-
i
tinued in full force and effect until April 19, 1977. The conclusion
is obvious that Shell Oil Company would not have paid rentals under

This Affiavit is made for the benefit of the title in and ~

to the real property more fully described on Schedule A, appended
~ hereto, and by this reference incorporated herein.
