shall govern; and any inconsistent provisions contained in such
original mortgages as heretofore modified and with respect to
the Oceanview mortgage, as modified and amended .by Exhibit 3,
shall be deemed deleted, provided, however, nothing contained
herein shall in anywise impair the validity or priority of the
lien created by such mortgages.
18. In case any one or more of the provisions
contained in this instrument or the mortgages it modifies shall
for any reason be held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable
in any respect, such invalidity, illegality or unenforceability
shall not affect any other provisions hereof, but this
~ instrument and such mortgages shall be construed as if such
invalid; illegal or unenforceable provisions .had never been
included.
19. Bankers and Lakeview and Oceanview agree that
the total interest for the use, forebearance or detention of
the Principal Sum owing on the Note from time to time and any
other sums payabre under the_Note or the Mortgages as modified
shall never exceed the maximum amount allowed by law for loans
secured by mortgages to entities such as the Mortgagors named
9 herein made on the date hereof ;and in the amounts, for the

purposes and otherwise of the type hereby contemplated,
evidenced and secured, and the Mortgagors shall not be bound or
