1. Petitioner's residence is Route 1, Box S0, Ft. Pierce,
Florida, 33450 and petitioner's post office address is the same.
2. JOHN R. SHADER is an incompetent, whose date of birth
was April 10, 1919, who is 61 years of age. The residence of the
incompetent is the Veterans Administration Hospital in Miami, Florida.
3. The nature of the incompetent's incapacity is paralysis
and aphasia caused by stroke, as adjudged by the Circuit Court in
St. Lucie County, Florida on December 19, 1980.
4. It is necessary that a guardian of the person and
property be appointed for the incompetent.
5. The approximate value and description of the incompe-
tent's property are: a 1968 4 door Chevrolet automobile valued at
approximately ~250.00 and bank accounts in the value of ~,~;o~~o~•~~

in the Florida National Bank. The incompetent also receives a

monthly income of ~,4~°P. /, /d~ ~ from the Social Security Administra-
tion.
5. The names and addresses of the persons most closely
related to the incompetent are: None.
7. Venue of this proceeding is in this county because
. the incompetent has been a resident of St. Lucie County since

8. John M. Stene, a resident of St. Lucie County, Florida
is sui juris and otherwise qualified under th~e laws of Florida to
act as guardian of the person and property of the incompetent, and
is entitled to preference because the incompetent has no living
~i
relatives and because the petitioner is the only available interested
party ready, willing and able to conduct~the affairs of the incompetent.
