This cause came on for trial the 12th day of January, 1981,
and it appearing that the respondent was served by publication duly
and according to law and by personal service upon Lillian Holt, residing
at the usual place and abode of ROBERT L. KIRKLAND at 323 Gaston Street,
Dallas, North Carolina, and the respondent having failed to respond or
Answer in the abovestyled.cause.and the Court having given full
consideration~to all the evidence, finds and determines: This Court
has ~urisdiction of the parties and subject matter of this suit; that
,
the relation of husband and wife now exists between the parties; and that
,
the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken and should be
dissolved. It is thereupon
ORDERED AND ADJUDGED as follows:
1. DISSOLUTION OF MARRIAGE. The marriage between BARBARA K.
KIRKLAND and ROBERT L. KIRKLAND be and the same is hereby dissolved, and
the parties and each of them are hereby forever freed from the bonds
of matrimony heretofore existing between them and from the obligations
arising therefrom.
2. CUSTODY. Custody of ROBERT L. KIRKLAND, JR., minor child
of the parties, is hereby awarded to BARBARA K. KIRKLAND with reasonable
visitation rights reser•ved-to ROBERT L. KIRKLAND.
