NOTIFYING THE PUBLIG THAT TRE CITY WILL
NOT FURNISH WATER TO SOUTAERN GULF UTILITIES,
INC., FOR USE BY NEW PROJECTS ON HUTCHINSON
ISLAND, ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA, WITHOUT
• SPECIFIC AUTHORIZATION THEREOF BY TAE CITY
COMMISSION.

WHEREAS, the City of Stuart on January 1, 1964, entered
into an Agreement with Southern Gulf Utilities, Inc., concern-
ing the saZe of water by the City to Southern Gulf; and
WHEREAS, the City of Stuart does not wish an expansion
of the service area covered by such agreement; and
WHEREAS, further ~xpansion to serve additional areas on
Hutchinson Island, St. Lucie County, Florida, would seriously
tax the City's ability to provide water to its existing users;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CO1~lISSION OF
THE CITY OF STUART, FLORIDA:
1. That the City of Stuart will not provide any water to
Southern Gulf Utilities, Inc., for use by any new projects on
Hutchinsan Island, St. Lucie County, Florida, without spec:ific
authorization thereof by the City Commission;
2. That the Clerk shall send a certified copy of this re-
solution to Southern Gulf Utilities, Inc., shall record a cer-
tified copy in the puiilic records of St. Lucie County, at Fort
Pierce, Florida, and shall cause a copy of this resolution to
be published once in the PORT ST. LUCIE MIRROR. ~, ~~;. a~ ;; °
