Then he state~ that Christmas comes in May. There was
some de~ree of perseveration. He was able to Kive his
date of birth but stated that he was 51 years old. He
stated that he had bc~en~living in Fort Pierce. in a
house for 20 yeare. However he was unable to give
his addrees or a phone number. He talked about buyin~
a house next week, but atated that-he did not know where
the house was: He was able to give the name of hie
physicfan. According to him the President now is nidle.
The Fresident before Mr. Aidle wae Roosevelt. "Number
of dimes in a dollar.equals to 20: Number of nickels
in a doilar equals 50." He was able to repeat five
digits forwards but was not able to repeat any digits
backrvards. He was unable to say what he ate for break-
fast or lunch. He was unable to give dates of his
hoapitalizations. His memory for both recent and~
remote events is~poor. He was able to apell the word
table but was not able to spell it backwards. His
arithmetic is quite poor. For example he was unable
to do the follo~rin~ calculatione. " 5~-+ 5. S!+ ?.

DIAGNOSI S s
Or~anic Brain Syndrome - most lik ely secondary to
cerebral arteriosclerosis and senile dementia.
RECOMMENDATIONS~
In my opinion. Patient is unable to mana~e his rnm
affairs at this time because of his poor phyaical
~ condition, ir~paire~l memory and disorientation.
