THIS CAUSE cominq on to be heard upon the verified
Petition for Adoption herein before filed, and the Court finds that
it has jurisdiction, and it appearing to the Court that GLORIA S.
CHARLES and GROVER CHARLES are fit and proper persons to adopt
LEONORA GAY CHARLES, and that the best interests of LEONORA GAY
CHARLES will be prompted by the adoption, and that she is suitable
for adoption by GLORIA AND GROVER CHARLES, and being otherwise fully
advised in the premises, it is
ORDERED AND ADJUDGED that the person known as LEONORA
GAY CHARLES is declared to be the legal daughter of GLORIA S.
CHARLES AND GROVER CHARLES and is given the name of LEONORA GAY
CHARLES, by which name she shall hereafter be known, and it is
FURTHER ORDERED AND ADJUDGED that the said LEONORA GAY
CHARLES shall be the legal heir of GLORIA S. CHARLES and GROVER
CHARLES, entitled to all rights and privileges, and subject to all
obligations of a daughter born to them in lawful wedlock.
DONE AND ORDERED at Fort Pierce, St. Lucie County,
Florida, this 29th day of January, 1981.
