A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF STUART,
FLORIDA; NOTiFYING SOUTHERN GULF UTILITIES,
INC. , ITS CUSTOMERS AND OTHER PAltTIES CON-
CERNED THAT THE CITY OF STUART WILL DIS-
CONTINUF T~E SALE OF ~9ATER TO 30UTHERN
GC?LF UTILITIES, INC. ON AND ~TER JANUARY 31,
1984; DIREGTING THE CLERK TO SEND CERTIFIED
COPIES TO SOUTHERN GULF UTILITIES, INC., THE
TOWN OF SEWALL'S POINT, THE BOARD OF COUNTY
CON'.MISSIONERS OF M1~RTIN COtJNTY , AND THE BOARD
OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF ST. LUCIE COUNTY;
AND DIRECTING THE CLERK TO PUBLISH A COPY OF
THIS RESOLUTION IN VARIOUS NEWSPAPERS.
WHEREAS, the City of Stuart on January 1, 1964, entered in-
to an Agreement with Southern Gulf Utilities, Inc., concerning
the sale of water by the City to Southern G~ilf; and
WHEREAS, said Agreement expires on January 31, 1984; and
WHEREAS, said Agreement is iiot in th e best interests of the
people of the City of Stuart nor of the other customers of the
City of Stuart's water system; and
WHEREAS, the City of Stuart does not wish to c:ontinue supply-
ing water under said Agreement after its expiration date;
NOW, THERi.FORE BE IT RESOLVED BY the City Commission of
the City of Stuart, Florida:
1. The City of Stuart, Florida, hereby notifies Southern
Gulf Utilities,•Inc., its customers and other parties concerned
that the City of ~tuart will not continue to supply water to
Southern Gulf Utilities, Inc., after the expiration of its Agree-
ment with the City of Stuart on January 31, 1984.
2. The Clerk shall send a certified copy of this Resolution
to each of the following:
