This case having come before the Court on Motion of
Plaintiffs for Defau?t Judgment, and defendant SYLVESTER W. CART
having failed to answer or otherwise appear and default having
been entered against him and the Court having considered all
the pleadings, affidavits,.memoranda, and other papers on file
in this action, the Court concludes that plaintiffs are entitled
to a default judgment as a.matter of law.
Therefore, it is ordered that plaintiffs' motion for
entry of default judgment against defendant Sylvester W. Carter,
be and hereby is granted, and it is decreed as follows:
1. That the United States District Court for the
Southern District of Florida has jurisdiction of the subject
matter and of all persons and parties hereto and that the
complaint states a cause of action against defendant Sylvester
W. C$rter under the Farm Labor Contractor Registration Act;
~ 2. That 7 U.S.C. S2050(b) (1974) authorizes actual
damages or in the alternative liquidated damages of $500 for
each violation of the Act as well as injunctive relief;
3. That defendant Sylvester W. Carter shall pay
