Purposes

The purposes of the corporation, as stated in its Certificate
of Incorporation, are:
To aupport research i.n land economics and to
improve and disseminate the analytical tools thereof.
No part of the net earnings of the corporation shall inure to the
benefit of any grivate member or individual, nor sha:l a substantial part
of its activities consist in carrying on propaganda or otherwise attempting
to influence legislation. None of the carporation's assets shall be distri-
buted upon dissolution to, or for the benefit of, any private member or
individual, but only to an organization exempt under Section 50T of the
Internal Revenue Code of 1954 and any amendments thereto, which is
similar in purpose, if possible, to the HOMER HOYT INSTITtTTE.
The corporation also has such powers as are now or may hereafter
be granted by the General Not For Profit Corporation Act of the District of
Columbia. .
ARTICLE II
Offices
The corporation shall have and continuously maintain in the
District of ~olumbia a registered office and a registPred agent, whose
office is identical with such registered office, and may have other offices
within or without the District of Columbia, as the Board of Director~ may
from time to time determine.
