HomeMy WebLinkAbout2255 tiRTICLE XII Endowment Fund . The income from the endowment fund shall be used to support research and education in real estate and urban de~elopment. The following five research topics are to be gi~~en top priority: 1. Forecasts of employnnent and population by SNSA in the U.S. thro:~gh the year 2000. Such forecasts shall emphasize the use of econo:nic-base analyses. 2. Sector theory analyses of inetropolitan areas. 3. Shopping center analyses evaluating operating results for various types of centers ir. the 1950's, 1960's, 1970's, and beyond. 4. A national study of home p'rices utilizing coun~y or other small area analyses. Included within this study should be sma?1 are~ analyses of selected metropolitan areas, utilizing areas as small as census tracts, where • appropriate. S. Study of prices of urban land by land use types, such as residential, commercial, and industrial, especially a comparison between prices in suburban counties and central cities. Comparisons also ~o be macie among d=~ferent metropolitan areas. The tr.rust of these studies is to be two-fold. First, to establish the base study, giving fundamental information. Second, to provide an on-going ~nformation update. It shall be a prime purpose of the Institute to develop and publish statistical serie$ which provide data for real estate and urban development decision r;aking. Wherever practiczble, join~ sponsorship of ttiese studie~ should be provided. Such sources incluue, but are not limited to, HUD, Bureau of the Census, and other U.S. Goverr.emnt agencies, ULI, Brookings Institute, and other private research organizations, Mortgage Bankers Associations and other trade associations, and various ur.iversities.. ~n~~351 PA~E2251
