Lucie Land Development Code, effective August 1, 1990, the S~[. Lucie County International Airport is considered to be an existing Conditilnal Use. The Ft. Pierce Air Center has been operating as a Fixed ~se Operations Center (FBO) on a 21.0 acre leased parcel since 1987. Thi.I FBO is located on the western side of the existing airport grounds. The Ft. Fierce Air Center has applied for a major adjustment to their existing conditior,al use permit to allow the construction of a 14,400 square foot of building s ~ace for aircraft painting (Building E-20). The Development Review Committee has reviewed the ,roposed Major Adjustment to an Existing Conditional Use and found it to I~e in substantial conformity with the overall Airport Master Plan. ~ On October 16, 2001, this Board held a public hearing on l~he petition, after publishing a notice of such hearing and notifying by mail all owners of property within 500 feet of the subject property. The proposed Major Adjustment to an Existing Conditional with the goals, objectives, and policies of the St. Comprehensive Plan and has satisfied the requirements of of the St. Lucie County Land Development Code.
