COMPASSION WHEN IT'S NEEDED MOS~
IN ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie C
the following determinations:
1. Hospice care provides humane and comforting support for termi
families, including pain control, palliative medical care, and social, emotic
2. Hospice fulfills basic human needs of feeling comfortable in

3. More than 40,000 professionals and 90,000 volunteers provide
hospice services to nearly 700,000 patients and their families in an estimat
