COMES NOW, the undersigned Petitioner, TOM C. CARGILL,
JR., by and through his undersigned attorney, and petitions ;
this Honorable Court to appoint him Conservator of the
property of DOUGLAS BOWDEN CARGILL, and states:
1. DOUGLAS BOWDEN CARGILL is art Absentee within the .
meaning of Section 747.01(2), Florida Statutes. The exact
circwnstances which cause the said DOUGLAS BOWDEN CARGILL to
be an -Absentee are as follows: On or about December 13th,
1981, DOUGLAS BOWDEN CARGILL, a 32-year old male, left his
- home in Fort Pierce, St. Lucie County, Florida, to travel to
the Melborne Airport in Melbourne, Florida, to catch a plane
to an unknown destination. Since that time, the Petitioner,
nor any family member or friend contacted by the Petitioner,
has heard or seen the alleged Absentee. Petitioner further

~ states that the alleged Absentee had never been away from

home for an extended period of time without contacting either
a member of his family or a friend to inform the Petitioner
of his whereabouts. Consequenfly, as of the date of this
Petition, DOUGLAS BOWDEN CARGILL's whereabouts is unknown and
he has. not been heard from since the date of his

~ disappearance.

2. The Petitioner is the father of the said DOUGLAS
, BOWDEN CARGILL, and his address is: 1609 NW River Trail,
~ Stuart, Florida 33494.
