That Operating Company may develop, farm and maintain
~the land and other lands in the vicinity as a unit and may adopt
any reasonable basis for ~r~rating costs as between the various
o~,mers of said lands .

That Owner hereby grants to Operating Company a lizn
against zne iand ~es~riuett ir1 ~:xhibiL "x" hereto, and all crops
grown thereon as security for the payinent of all costs expended,
services rendered, and advancements made by Operating Company in
any way related to the lantl. Said lien shall inure ta the betzefit
of Operating Company, its successors or assigns, and shall be bind-
ing upon Owner, his heirs, successors and assigns. Said lien sllall
be enforceable by an action in equity or at law. ;

That the burdens upon the land created by the provisions
of paragraph VIII hereinbelow are expressly made for the benefit ;

; of the lands described in Exhibit "C", attached hereto and made ;
a part hereof by reference, which are or will be operated under
a similar agreement. The covenants, conditions and agreements
contained in said paragraph VIII are intended to be and are coven-
