ment each moiith to be applied first to the payment of interest then accrued on said principal •aum re-
maining unpaid, and the Ualaiice applied to the reduction of said principal sum, until the whole of eaid
. principal sum, together ~vith interest that shall become d~ie ugon decreasing amounts,thereof, shall have
been fully paid.
Option is granted to maker hereof in each year of the life of t}iis mortgage note, to make, without pen- ~
alty, payments of $100.00 or multiples thereof~ on the principal hereof~ in addition to the regular manth-
ly payments specified herein; provided auch additional payments do not in ~he aggregate, exceed 1b% of ~
the originAl principal sum of this note. The right to exercise auch option is non-cumulative and ~f the
option is not exercised or not exercised in full in a particular year~ such additional payments permitted
in such year cannot be made in any subsequent year. Maker also shall be entitled to make further pay-
ment~4 on the principal heieof, provideci that, during the first five-year period after date hereof, a penalty
of 3~o sh~ll be charged on Any such payments in any year in excess of regular mon~hly payment~ and
paymenta aggreg~ting 16 Jo of the original principal sum in any such year. After five years from the
date hereof, additional payments of $100.00 or multiples thereof, or prepayment in full, may be made
without penalty.
If default be made in the payment of any of said monthly installmenta, auch sum or sums shall there-
after bear interest at the rate of eight per centum per annum until paid, and, at the option of ~the holder
hereof, the entire principal sum then remaining unpaid with accrued interest ahall immediately become
due and payable without notice (time heing of the essence hereof) and shall thereafter likewise bear
interest at the rate of eight per centum per annum. FQilure to exercise thia option shall not constitute a
waiver of the right to exercise such option in the event of any subsequent default.
The makera and endorsera hereof each expressly waive presentment, protest, notice of dishonor and
notice of protest and agree to pay all costs, including a reasanable at~torn~y's fee, whether auit be
'r brought or not, if after maturity of this note or default hereunder caunsel shall be employed to collect
this note, or any monthly installment due hereunder. and consent that the holder hereof, at the request
of any other person liable hereon, may extend the time of payment or otherwise modify the terms of pay-
ment of any part or the whole of the defit evidenced her~by and such consent ahali not alter nor dimin-
iah the liability of any peraon.
Thia note is secured by mortgage on real e$#,~te of even date herewith. ;
