(4) Mitigation In Interticfal And Open Water Areas Without
Exotic Ana Native Ve~etation On ~te.
(e) Locational Requirement. The mitigation plan
shall be implemented to the 9reatest extent possible in intertidal
and/or open water.areas whiCh da not have a~y vegetation on-site
prior to considering Section 1-7.6-36(5).
(b) Procedures and Stanciards. In the development oP
the mitigation plan the follorring procetlures and stand8rds shall
be used for intertidal and open water areas whiCh do not have any
vegetation on-site:
(i) Mangrove seedlings. shall be planted at a
d~nsity of fitteen (15) per one hundreci (100) square peet of
~ i~tertidal ana/or open water areas. Two (2) clumps of marsh and -
salt tolerant vegetation may be substituted for every other
required mangrove seedling.
(ii) The applicant shall be sub~ect to the
requirements oP Section 1-7.6-36(5) if tn~ total mitigation ;
acreage which is required pursuant to Section 1-7.6-36(2) is not
met by implementation of this section. ~
(5) Mitigation In Wetlands, Interticlal=, And Open Water
Areas Without Exotic Trees On-Site. ~ ~
(a) Locational Requirement. The mitigation plan
shall be implemented to the greatest extent possible in wetlanos,
intertidal, and/or open water are~s whiCh do not have exotic trees
on-site.
(b) Proceclures and Standards. In the development oP "
the mitigation plan the following proeeclures and standarcls shall
be used:

(i) Mangrove seedlings shall be planted up to
a density of Pitteen (15) per one hundred (100) square Peet oP
wetlands, intertidal ano/or open water areas. Two (2) clumps of
marsn and salt tolerant vegetation may be planted for every other
required m~ngrove seedling.
(ii) The applicant shall be required to modify
tne proposed alteration or removel of mangroves by decreasing tr?e
alteration or removal acreage it the total mitigation acreage
whiCh is required pursuant to Sectio~ 1-7.6-36(2) will not be met ,
by implementation of Sections 1-7.6-36(2) Lhrough (5) singularly
or in combin~tion with mitigation options set out in Section 1- ~
