cut below six (6) feet, ANO
(c) The cutting oft oP not more than 25~ oP the plant
material in the lower half of the canopy oP any RhiYOphora man le
(r~d mangrove), provided that the upper half of the canopy and tne
prop roots are not cut.
(2) A permit shall only be issued for the purpose oP
gaining waterfront eccess or waterfront view. ~or the purposes oP
this section only, "gaining r~atertront access" shall mean that
trimming or pruning neces5ary to keep an existing accessway clear
sub,~ect to the standards set out in tnis section.
(3) Multi-Pamily living complexes, condominium complexes
anci otner types of complex~~s or tacilities shall be treated as one
parcel or property regard]•:ss ot the legal division of ownership
or control of the associat-~d property. .
(4) Mangrove heig~~: shall be det~rmined along trunks
whether the trunks are ang.•d to the ground or completely uprignt.
(5)~ Trimming or pr~ :ng shall be conducted only during tne
months oP October, November. Oecember, January, February or March
of each year.
(6) Trimming or pr;..~?ing shall be conducted one (1) time
only on any individual ~ngrove. However, the neight or
configuration attained by =:lective trimming may be maintained
except during the one (1) y~ ~r period immeoiately following the
selective trim ming.
(7) 7rimming or prun _ ng shall not be allowed on ma.ngroves
whiCh were required for remedial purposes or as pa~t oP any prior
development approval until the success criteria for sucn remedies
or aevelopment approval have been met. - ~

(8) Plant material removeci from the mangroves shall be
disposed of pursuant to Chapter 17-27.060(4) Floriaa
Administrative Code.
(9) tne bark on the remaining trunk, limbs, or other
branches shall not be damaged.
(10) Pruning paint or other such applications shall not be
used.
