LUCIE COUNTY CIVIC CENTER FEES UNDER RESOLUTION NO. 98-238 (WHICH AMENDED THE FEE SCHEDULES FOR THE ST. LUCIE COUNTY SPORTS COMPLEX/THOMAS J. WHITE STADIUM, THE ST. LUCIE COUNTY CIVIC CENTER, AND THE SAVANNAS OUTDOOR RECREATION AREA) BY ADDING AND INCREASING CERTAIN FEES FOR THE ST. LUCIE COUNTY CIVIC CENTER; AND REDUCING THE LIABILITY INSURANCE COVERAGE ACCORDINGLY WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners for St. Lucie County, Florida, has made .lowing determinations: 1. On September 22, 1998, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution No. t (which amended the fee schedules for the St. Lucie County Sports Complex/ThOmas J. White m, the St. Lucie County Civic Center, and the Savannas Outdoor Recreation Area). 2. In order to recoup increased expenses incurred by the St. Lucie County Civic Center, it :ssary to amend Resolution No. 98-238 by increasing the rates and fees for the St. Lucie r Civic Center. 3. It is appropriate to reduce the liability insurance coverage for rental of the St. Lucie Civic Center in order to correspond to coverage requirements for similar facilities hout the State of Florida. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of St. 2ounty, Florida: 1. This Board does hereby amend the St. Lucie County Civic Center Fees under Resolution -238 by adding and increasing certain fees for the St. Lucie County CiVic Center and reducing the li Renta sched force ATTI bility insurance coverage accordingly as set forth in the "Schedule of Operating Regulations, Fees and Other Charges" incorporated herein and made a part hereof. 2. Except as amended herein, the portion of Resolution No. 98-238 regarding the fee Lle for the St. Lucie County Sports Complex/Thomas J. White Stadium, shall remain in full md effect. 3. LUCIE COUNTY CIVIC CENTER 2300 VIRGINIA AVENUE FORT PIERCE, FLORIDA 34982 SCHEDULE OF OPERATING REGULATIONS RENTAL FEES AND OTHER CHARGES The following information is provided for preliminary and final investigation into the policies ing rental fees and other charges related to all classifications of programs and activities carded hin the jurisdiction of the St. Lucie County Civic Center. '~RAL INFORMATION Rates charged for the Civic Center facilities are based on a "Four Wall" policy. Included in dc "Four Wall" fees are: normal janitorial service, and the basic public address system as ~d in the premises for the presentation of the attraction. Not included in the ates are any special arrangements such as: ushers, security, box office, ticket takers, doorman, ands, public address system operators (where required), exhibit/convention booth equipment, ans, license fees, etc. The number and identity of such persons to be used in these capacities those designated by the Civic Center Supervisor in conjunction with Lessee. Rates for the ~ervices and additional needed equipment shall be charged at the current Civic Center ed rates included as a part of this writing. In the event of cancellation by the Lessee, the Lessee shall forfeit all fees paid. When contract is requested by Lessee, Te dates will then receive the status of"Firm". If contract and deposit are not returned within two weeks from the date sent to the potential ~, St. Lucie County reserves the right to book another event on the date. If contract cannot be ~d within two weeks and potential Lessee needs additional time, Civic Center supervisor must ified in writing to this effect if the date is to be held. All-night security is available upon request for exhibitions and conventions where displays equipment are involved. This security will be charged at the approved St. Lucie County Civic ' rate as included in this writing plus 15% handhng fee, payable at time of signing contract. ;RING All catering in the St. Lucie County Civic Center must be approved by the supervisor. Promoters are responsible for their vendor's conduct and for ensuring that the r's exit the building in a timely manner following the end of an event. Promoter is to remain : until all vendors have left the building. CHARGES As herein above described, a day of rental terminates at 12:00 AM (midnight). Any event requires additional usage of the auditorium or arena after midnight will be charged ten percent /or $120.00 per hour of the established daily base rental rate prescribed herein, for each hour ,~e taking place after the stipulated termination time. Late charges will be levied if the building vacated by 12:00 AM (midnight). ;R/OR Lease agreements for use of the St. Lucie County Civic Center do not include availability outside areas adjacent to the facility. Requests for utilization of outside areas must be ed by the supervisor in writing prior to the event and costs determined by space utilized. The public parking lot is a gsion belonging solely to the County, and in no way may be used by any entity if the use f constitutes a violation to county and/or fire codes.
