5. Section 367.171(1), Florida Statutes {1985), provides
that a county after four continuous years under the ~urisdiction
of the Public Service Commission may by resolution or ordinance
rescind any prior resolution or ordinance imposing Public Ssrv3ce
Commission ~urisdiction and thereby assume ~urisdiction over
private water and sewer utflitiea.
_ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, that pursuant to
: Section 367.171(1}, Fiorida Statutes, the resolution adopted on
September 22, 1964, establishing the ~urisdiction of the Public
Service ~ommission over private water and sewer utilties in St.
Lucie County is hereby rescinded effective November 1, 1987.
After-motion and second, the vote on this resolution was as
follows:
