TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
; Re: Leroy FITZGERALD
. Mr. Fitzgerald has been under my care since
September 10, 1987, at which time he was admitted with
~ aspiration pneumonia and extensive right cerebral vascular
accident with complete left hemiplegia. At that time he also
had global aphasia,.including expressive and receptive aphasia.
Subsequently, the patient recuperated from his pneumonia, but
the CVA has remained unchanged and he continues to have
expressive and receptive aphasia. Throughout the hospital
- stay the patient did not obey any verbal command, and did
not show any improvement in his mental status or his hemi-
plegic status.
It is my opinion that Mr. Fitzgerald is not able to
make any reasonable decision regarding business affairs. ~
From a medical standpoint, I do not think he will be able to
make any decisions for some length of time. I
If I can be of any further assistance, please do not
~ hesitate to call or write to me.
