Nelson (the "Mortgagor"), by a certain Mortgage instrument bearing the date of December 29, 1980. and recorded under Clerk's File No. 511913, in Official Records Book 345, at Page 2187 of the Public Records of St. Luc1e County, Florida (the "Mortgage"), mortgaged unto First American Bank of Palm Beach County (the "Mortgagee"), the improved premises therein partir.ularly described (the "Mortgaged Premises") to secure the payment of the sum of Five Hundred Seventy-Five Thousand and No/100 Dollars (5575,000.00), with interest thereon according to the terms of a certain promissory note of even date therewith; WHEREAS, the Mortgagee, by a certain Assignment of Mortgage instrument dated July 14, 1981, did assign the Mortgage to General American Life Insurance Company, a Missouri corporation ("General American"), which Assignment instrument was recorded in the said Public Records in Official Records Book 362 at Page i78; WHEREAS. through conveyances of the Mortgaged Premises by the Mortgagor and subsequent grantees, the Mortgaged Premis~s were acquired and are noa owned by Chapeco, S.A., a Panamanian corporation authorized to do business in Florida (the "Owner"); and WHEREAS, the Owner has requested that General American release the premises hereinafter described (the "Release Parcels"), being part of the Mortgaged Premises, from the lien and operation of the Mortgage; NOW THEREFORE; KNOW YE, that General American, in consideration of the premises and Ten and No/100 Dollars ($10.04) to it paid by the Owner at the. time of the execution hereof, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, does ~ hereby remise, refease, quitciaim, exonerate and discharye f~•om ttie li~n and nw~...~~j L~, ~f~r ~n ~~n~n ~~n v~ ; !
