Testament, hereby revoking all prior Wills and Codicils made by
me .
FIRST: I direct that all my just debts and funeral
expenses, expenses of my last illness~ and costs of administering
my estate, be paid as soon as practicable after my death.
SECOI~ID: I give, devise and bequeath all the rest, residue
and remainder of my estate, whether real, personal~ or mixed, unto
my children, JAMES EMMETT JOHNSON, JR., ROBERT EMBRY JOHNSON, BRO~,TN
LANIER JOHNSOy, and DOROTHY ANt1E EMPSON, in equal shares, share and
share alike, absolutely and forever, per stirpes.
THIRD: I hereby nominate and appoint my son, BROWN LANIER
JOHNSON, as personal representative of this, my Last Will and

' Testament, and I expressly confer upon him power as such personal
' representative to administer my estate, excusing him from giving

~ any bond, or making any returns to any Court. I expressly confer
~ upon him full authority and power to manage, invest, and reinvest,

~ and to sell and convey any part or all of my estate, at public or

~ private sale, with or without notice, as he may deem ,

€ without the order of Court. I authorize him to make good and

~ sufficient conveyances to any purchaser and to hold the proceeds
of any sale for such use as he may deem best for the interest of

instance where he may think it necessary and proper, and to secure
the same by mortgage, trust deed, or other form of security to or
