ARTICLE XIX
Should Grantor's wife survive him, she shall have the
right at any time subsequent to Grantor's death to designate
herself a Co-Trustee with THE DETROIT BANK AND TRUST COMgAN~
of the residuary trust herein. Notice of such designation .
shall be in writing signed by Grantor's wife properly acknow-
ledged and witnessed and delivered to the corporate Trustee.
Notwithstanding the foregoing, the corporate Trustee shall
retain the sole and uncontrolled discretion to make all decisions
with regard to discretionary distributions to any of the bene- '

~ ficiaries under said Residuary Trust. Accordingly, Grantor's
!
~ wife as Co-Trustee shall not participate in any manner or to the
~ extent in exercising of any judgment or decision which the
Trustees are required or permitted to make or in the exercise
~ of any discreti~onary power or authority which might or could
~ inure to the benefit of such Co-Trustee.

~ The signature of the successor corporate Trustee hereto

~ shall be construed as no more than acceptance of the terms of
~
; this Agreement as they apply to the rights, powers, duties and
obligations of the successor corporate Trustee during its tenure
i
as trustee and shall in no way be construed to mean acceptance,

~ ratification or approval of any of the acts, omissions or defaultis
~
~ .
