A RESOLUTION ALITHORIZZNG THE RSORGANZZI~ITION
OF A HICYCLS l~DVISORY COIK!lITT88, ~ND
PROVZDING FOR DUTIES 1lND FUNCTIONS OF THS
COMMITTEE
WHEREAS, the Hoard of Cour~ty Commissioners of St. Lucie
County, Florida, has made the following determinations:
1. In 1986 the St. Lucie County Urbanized Area Metropolitan
Planning Organization createcl an Urban Area Bicycle Adv3sory
Cocnmittee for the purpase of providing information in order to
develop an acceptable comprehensive community bicycle
transportation plan; giving advise on matters relating to bicycle

transportation; and providing technical assistance and
~ information on matters relating to bicycle transgortation to
~
~
' local agencies and offices requesting information and assistance
`
including schools, law enforcement agencies, civic organizations,

~ and interested citizens.
~ 2. As the Bicycle Advisory Committee has not met for some
~
~ time, it is necessary to authorize the reorganization of a
~ Bicycle Advisory Committee and provide duties and functions of
~

~ said Committee.

~ NOW, THLREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
~
: Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida:
1. This Board does hereby authorize the reorganization of a
Bicycle Acivisory Cocnmittee in St. Lucie County, Florida for the
following purposes:
~ (a) To advise the Board of County Commissioners on
~ matters relating to bicycle transportation.
