HomeMy WebLinkAbout0935 ~ , (b) To provide technical assistance and information on matters relating to bicycle transportation to local agencies and offices requesting said information and assistance; including the Metropolitan Planning Organization, schools, law enforcement agencies, civic organizations and interested citizens. (c) To study the need and possible locations for bicycle paths within St. Lucie County. 2. The Committee shall consfst of a totaa of eleven (11) voting members as follows: (a) One elected official from each of the three (3) local goverrunental entities - the City of Fort Pierce, the City of Port St. Lucie, and St. Lucie County, appointed by the respective entity, thereby filling three (3) appointments. i (b) Each Board member shall appoint one (1) person who ~ represents one of the following interests as a representative to serve on the Hicycle Advisory ; Committee, thereby filling five (5) additional ~r appointments: ~ (1) Planning ' (2) Transportation Engineer (3) Education (4) Law Enforcement (5) Hicycle Shop ~ (6) Employer or Local Business ~ (7) Parents Group (P.T.A. etc.) ' ( 8 ) Par3cs and Recreation ~ (9) Civic Service Organization ~ (1~) InterestedjActive Bicyclist ~ (11) Bicycle Club (12) Senior Citizen Group (13) Citizen at Large ~ ~ ' (i) Each of these five (5) members appointed shall ' serve at the pleasure of the commissioner appointing the member. (ii) Each Board appointment shall be sub~ect ta the ' approval of the Board of County Commissioners.
