the standards for granting variances set out in Section 5.5.200
of the St. Lucie County Zoning Ordinance, the Board of Adjustment
has made the following findings of fact:
a. The request for variance does not appear to be based on
::::.ecassary hardsh~.p or unique topoyraphical
conditions, but on convenience. The petitioners have
proposed a 310.86 square foot sign that would include
two Barnett Bank signs and list all tenants of the
Barnett Bank Building on the base of the sign. The
petitioners have not demonstrated that an
~
unnecessa.ry hardship would result by decreasing the
t size of the sign to conform to the 200 square foot

~ b. The variance requested is not the minimum necessary to
g
~ make possible the reasonable use of the property, in

Zoning Ordinance currently permi.ts a 200 square foat

c. The variance desired would be opposed to the general
spirit and intent of the Zoning Ordinaiice in that
' variances should only be granted which meet the
= standards of Sectian 5.5.200, and this request does not

me~t those standards.
