6 APPROVAL FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE OFFICIAL ZONING

8 (COMMERCIAL, GENERAL) ZONING DISTRICT TO THE RF
9 (RELIGIOUS FACILITIES) ZONING DISTRICT FOR PROPERTY
io LOCATED IN ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA.
ia WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of St. Lucie County, Florida, based on the
i3 testimony and evidence including, but not limited to the staff report, has made the following
i4 determinations:

i6 1. Apostolic Assembly of the Faith in Christ Jesus petitioned for an amendment to
i~ the Official Zoning Atlas to change the zoning from the CG (Commercial, General)
is Zoning District to the RF (Religious Facilities) Zoning District, in St. Lucie County,
i9 Florida, for the property located at 603 S. 33~d Street, described in Paragraph "A"
ao and depicted on the attached map as Exhibit "A."

za 2. On February 17, 2011, the St. Lucie County Planning and Zoning Commission held
a3 a public hearing on the petition, after publishing notice at least 10 days prior to the
24 hearing and notifying by mail all owners of property within 500 feet of the subject
z s property, and recommended that the Board of County Commissioners approve the
a 6 hereafter described request for an amendment to the Official Zoning Atlas to change
a ~ the zoning from the CG (Commercial, General) Zoning District to the RF (Religious
2s Facility) Zoning District for the property described in Paragraph "A."

3 0 3. On April 5, 2011, this Board held a public hearing on the petition, after publishing
3i notice at least 10 days prior to the hearing and notifying by mail all owners of
3a property within 500 feet of the subject property.

34 4. The proposed change in zoning is not in conflict with the goals, objectives, and
35 policies of the St. Lucie County Comprehensive Plan and has satisfied the
36 requirements of Section 11.06.03 of the St. Lucie County Land Development Code.

3 s 5. The proposed change in zoning is consistent with the existing and proposed uses in
39 the surrounding area.

4i 6. A Concurrency Deferral Affidavit, a copy which is attached to this Resolution, was
42 signed by the applicant on July 29, 2009.
